School Uniform Donations

Dear Parent

School Uniform Donations

At this time of year, parents frequently replace items of uniform.   We fully appreciate that the cost of replacing school uniform is not cheap and costs can very quickly add up, particularly for families within our school community who may have more than one child attending school.  We would therefore especially like to be able to support those parents that are in this position or, for example, those that may be struggling financially, particularly following the last couple of difficult years post-pandemic.

We are therefore asking if you would be prepared to kindly donate any clean, good quality items of uniform that your child will not be using next year and/or has grown out of.

In particular, we would be extremely grateful to receive any of the following items:

  • School jumpers
  • Skirts (must have the school badge on them)
  • Trousers
  • PE kit
  • Shoes
  • School bags
  • Study books

We will use these donations to ensure that every pupil in school is properly equipped to meet the school’s Uniform Policy ready for the new school year in September.  Of course, the choice is totally up to you; if you would rather your child keep their uniform as a memory, we are respectful of that.   Any donations can be left with staff in Reception on Riverdale Road.

There are opportunities at school community events to purchase second-hand school uniform, such as the Summer Festival on 27th June and Year 7 Parents’ Evening on 11th June.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support of our Uniform Policy during the course of this year.

Yours faithfully

Mrs F Brookes
Head of Year 11
