Y7 at Notre Dame demonstrated their school values by raising an incredible £990.49 for Carmel Care during their Advent charity fundraising appeal. Mrs Brookes, the Y7 Head of Year said “Notre Dame promote the value of caring for the vulnerable in our society and I am so proud of my year group and their form teachers for their amazing fund raising efforts”
Carmel Care is a day centre in Hillsborough which offers a range of therapeutic activities and home cooked food the elderly, vulnerable and socially isolated of the area as well as specialist counselling for people with addictions.
The picture shows Benedict and David two year 7s with Mrs Brookes presenting a cheque to Jonathan Yewdall who collected the cheque on behalf of Caritas Hallam.

I would recommend anyone with any spare time considers volunteering as the atmosphere is genuinely very special. I would like to thank Y7 and their staff for their efforts it was a real pleasure to work with such a dedicated group of teachers and a really lovely group of young people")
