The Hallam Young Chaplaincy Leaders attended a meeting at St Pius School and met up with the other young people from the Catholic Schools in the Diocese. The theme for the day was ‘Loving Our Neighbour Is Loving Jesus’ and the scripture focussed on was The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
Students acted out a modern day version of the Scripture and there were some very creative interpretations! Y8 students Isabel, Martha, Segen, Tynesha said: "After a lovely lunch we gathered together and finished the day with a short liturgy. We sat in a circle and washed the hands of the person sitting beside us whilst saying the words 'You have taught me that love is an action’. Then when the hands were dried we said these words ‘My actions can show your love in the world’. We cannot wait to meet up again in March to talk about the next project we will do for the community."
