Eco Team Willow Weaving

On Monday 19th May eight Notre Dame students along with their teachers Ms Kay, Mrs Wilkinson and Mr Churchill worked with Mark Bleay a tree surgeon to weave the willow planted around the Nun’s grave yard over by the ELC. The students learnt how to cut the willow safely using a variety of tools and how to bend and weave it. This task took real team work and cooperation between the students as great deal of physical strength. The students also learnt how to prune the apple trees and will continue to carry out this work during Eco Team meetings.ecoteam1web
